Dr. Rob Yelland is a 1969 graduate of the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis. After graduation, he served a 2-year stint in the Army Veterinary Corps. He has been a small animal practitioner in the East Bay since 1971. |
In the late 1980’s he became progressively more interested in pet dentistry and began a mentorship with Dr. Michael Floyd in Albany. In the early 90’s he began a more formal mentor-based residency under the auspices of the American Veterinary Dental College.  This program gave him many of the skills necessary to perform advanced dental procedures.
Dr. Yelland continues his training and dental education through regular participation in veterinary and human professional meetings and workshops. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Veterinary Dental Society. Dr. Yelland has been accepting referrals for advanced dentistry for over 15 years and regularly volunteers as a dental consultant at the Oakland Zoo. In addition, he continues his dental training programs and consulting for area veterinarians. |
